Contextual Menus
From ShadeCamp
A contextual menu appears by clicking the right mouse button (Win) or control + click (Mac) on certain windows in Shade.
The contextual menu displays frequently-used items for each window, facilitating quick access to those items.

Object Info is the same as the item in the View menu, and displays the Object Info window.
The Name item provides the same function as doubleclicking objects or parts in the Browser window. The Name dialog appears, which enables you to change the name of the selected object or part.

The Link item is activated only when a link object is selected, enabling you to automatically find and choose the original link object.
Picture Box
The contextual menu for the picture box is related to images and movie data.
All the items from Cut through Clear are the same as those provided by the Edit menu, with operations targeted at the image or movie loaded into the picture box.
Images and movies can be loaded by choosing Load. File formats which can be loaded include the following:
- PICT files (.pct)
- Targa files (.tga)
- QuickTime movie files (.mov)
- AVI movie files (.avi) (Windows only)
- EPSF files (.eps) (Mac OS X only)
- Shade scene file (.shd)
The Windows version also uses Ipicture, and the Mac OS X version also uses QuickTime to load “.jpeg” and “.gif” file formats.
When a QuickTime or AVI movie file is loaded, an image with the first frame mapped is rendered. Choosing the Save item will export the content of the picture box as an image file. File formats that can be exported include the following:
- Bitmap files (.bmp)
- PICT files (.pct)
- Targa files (.tga)
- TIFF files (.tif)
The Crop Area Setting dialog appears by choosing the Set Crop Area item. This dialog is used to specify the range over which the loaded image is to be applied. The Set Crop Area feature is only available in the picture box of the Surface window.
Crop Area Setting Dialog
Top, Bottom, Left, and Right Test Boxes and Scroll Arrows
These items are used to set the area that is to be cropped. The size of the image is displayed in the boxes immediately after loading an image.
Scale Pull-down Menu
This pull-down menu is used to set the scale of the image displayed in the picture box from 1/16 times to 16 times. The setting in this pull-down menu does not change the image data itself.
Default Button
Click this button to reset the settings of the Area Setting dialog (except for the Scale setting).
Cancel Button
Click this button to cancel the settings and close the Area Setting dialog.
OK Button
Click this button to use the settings and close the Area Setting dialog.
Choosing Browse will show you the location of the movie file loaded in the picture box.
The file size tends to become large after loading a movie file, so movies are not embedded in the document; the folder containing the movie file is memorized. The Browse function is useful when you cannot find the location of the original movie file.
Clicking Play will play the movie file, if a movie file is loaded in the picture box.
