Spiral Line Dialog
Radius Input Pull-down Menu
This pull-down menu allows you to select the method used to specify the radius.
When you select the numeric option, configure other options and click the OK button. Another Spiral Line dialog box appears.
Enter the radius (start and end) and click the OK button.
When you select the mouse drag option, configure other options and click the OK button, you then specify the radius in the Figure window by dragging the mouse.
Segment Method of Line Figure Pulldown Menu
This pull-down menu allows you to choose from two options, equally segmentation or bezier, as a method to divide the line shape.
Top: equally segmentation is selected. Bottom: bezier is selected.
Number of All Rotation Textbox
This text box allows you to specify the number of winds of the spiral to be created.
If this value is less than the number of segments the selected line (the number of segments equals the number of anchor points - 1), a warning dialog appears and the spiral will not be generated.
Number of Point Per 1 Rot Text Box
This text box allows you to specify the number of control points on the spiral line per wind.
Shift Degree Text Box
This text box enables you to specify a shift, in degrees, relative to the starting point of the selected line object.
Reverse Check Box
It this check box is selected, the spiral is drawn with the wind direction reversed.
Important Notes on the Spiral Line Plug-in
The maximum number of control points on a spiral is 2000.
Note: The number of control points on the spiral is calculated as: the total number of rotations multiplied by the number of control points per rotation. However, when the selected line shape is an open line, the number of control points on the spiral will be the result of the above equation + 1.
When creating a spiral with many control points, it may take a long time to process, depending on your system’s resources. |
