Shade 10 Viewpoint Exporter
From ShadeCamp
The Viewpoint Exporter exports shape data created by Shade into a format for Web3D production (Windows only). Viewpoint Exporter is an unsupported legacy plugin for Shade and not included in the default installation of Shade 10.
The files exported by the Viewpoint Exporter are in the “MTS” format supported by “Viewpoint Scene Builder” published by Viewpoint.
The MTS files exported by the Viewpoint Exporter are to be loaded and edited in the Viewpoint Scene Builder. To save them as HTML files after editing, you will need “Viewpoint Media Publisher,” also published by Viewpoint.
- For usage of the tools published by Viewpoint, refer to the manuals for the respective tools. Each development tool is available for download at the Viewpoint web site.

Viewpoint Exporter Options Dialog
This dialog box appears when you choose Viewpoint from Export under the File menu. You can specify the settings to export the data into MTS files here.
Texture Mapping Size Pull-down Menu
Select the value to be used when you output texture mapping data, from 0, 64, 128, 256, and 512 (pixels).
When 128 is selected, for instance, texture mapping data of 128 x 128 pixels is output for each object with texture mapping.
The greater the value, the higher the texture quality will be, while it will also increase the data size. The texture will not be output when 0 is selected.
Export Target Pull-down Menu
Choose the target to export, from Selected Objects and All Objects.
The objects selected in the Browser window will be exported when Selected Objects is chosen, while all the objects will be exported when All Objects is chosen.
Surface Subdivision Value Text Box
Specify the surface subdivision level for the objects to export by entering an integral value between 0 and 20, depending on the situation.
The greater the value, the more finely the polygon mesh will be divided to make the surface look more smoothly curved, while it will also increase the data size.
Direction of Face Pull-down Menu
Select the direction of face, from Front Face and Back Face.

Texture Mapping
Note: Since this plug-in supports texture transformation, projection mapping to any direction can be converted by entering a polygon mesh object with projection mapping to Z axis direction in a part and rotating that part.
